Data Capture

Data capture is integral to the Geoinformatics Process.

Geoinformatics recognize the fact that world-wide mineral provinces are flooded with reams of historic data, and has consequently developed unique techniques in the digitising, validating and organising of these historic datasets. Most importantly, this 'process' leads to the capture of intelligence as well as data.

Geoinformatics has diversified its data capture team and now outsource all data capture to Magnasoft Consulting - a well respected GIS Company in Bangalore – India.

Geoinformatics and Magnasoft have been working as a close team since 2003 and have developed a unique working relationship. Magnasoft is used as an extension of the Geoinformatics Data Capture team and the two companies work closely together as a team to complete jobs. Working together ensures understanding between the companies, fast turn around, smarter QA/QC and overall the production of quality, intelligent data.

Geoinformatics provides training and support for Magnasoft and have developed a set of Geoinformatics standards when capturing data. A standard approach to data capture introduces intelligence to the data, and adds consistency across all Geoinformatics projects.
